What kind of church is this?

North Bay Christ the King is an evangelical, mission driven church that reaches out to unchurched people with good news.  It is organized around the volunteer ministry of small group leaders and volunteer workers who seek to create an atmosphere of quality care and personal growth and to reach an unlimited number of unchurched people with the message of Jesus Christ.

At North Bay CTK, we have certain approaches to ministry and life together that we value. Values govern the way we thing and behave. These are the values of our outreach driven community:

  • A commitment to outreach
  • Worship
  • A culture of recovery
  • The importance of relationships (trust building, transparency, truth telling, healing and growth)
  • The necessity of discipleship
  • Small groups as the building blocks of the church
  • The trustworthiness of God and His Word
  • The ministry of believers

Our Objectives

Our objective is to train each believer in five basic, but essential, practices necessary to living a Spirit-filled life and glorifying God.

  • Seeking God through prayer (Mark 11:22 -25)
  • Studying God's Word for growth (2 Timothy 2:15 -16)
  • Sharing our faith in God with others (Romans 10:13 -14)
  • Stewarding our resources as a trust from God. (Malachi 3:7-12, 2 Corinthians 9:5-15
Stewardship has to do with the three big areas of our lives. These are our time, talent, and treasure.
  • Serving others by discovering our God-given gifts. (Romans 12:4-16, Ephesians 4:11-13)
